Bullying impacts the lives of young children, old children, adults, parents, educators and professionals in all fields. People often believe that only school age children are bullied. This is not the case. Adults are also bullied and the coping mechanisms are embedded in all of us from an early age. Bullying behavior is learned young and often our childhood bullies grow up to become our adult bullies as well. On a National level, the CASEL (Collaborative for academic, social and emotional learning) program is being implemented in many states. This program targets bullying prevention because bullying is linked to social and emotional behaviors. By establishing empathy and self-esteem bullying can be lessened. The following goals are those of the CASEL program and are standards which are achieved in this website:
